Religious Education

Religious Education Program
Mission Statement

In obedience to Jesus' final instructions to His Apostles before His Ascension,

"Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations.
Baptize them in the name of the Father, and of the
Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Teach them to carry out everything
I have commanded you."
(Matthew 28: 19-20)

The Religious Education Program at Saint Columba Parish strives to faithfully pass on the teachings of Jesus Christ as handed down through His Apostles and their successors, the bishops and priests of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church, to those children entrusted to us.

Religious Education Classes
following the 9:00 am Mass until 11:30 am
from early September through May

Saint Columba parish offers religious education classes for grades 2-8 in public & private schools.

We believe and profess that the Holy Eucharist is both the source and summit of the Catholic Faith. Therefore, Mass is considered to be an integral part of every child's religious education. The whole program is focused on full participation.

Your ways, O Lord, make known to me;
teach me Your paths.

Guide me in Your truth and teach me,

for You are God my savior.
(Psalm 25: 4-5)
